You shipped something this week. It went live, you told the people who already follow you, and it slid down the feed before most of them saw it. Getting it in front of fresh eyes usually means an audience you haven’t built yet, or paying for a spot where the top places are already taken.

Clapstorm is a different shape — a free weekly leaderboard for new product launches where each one starts level and climbs on nothing but the claps people give it.

How a round works

A new round opens every week and the board resets — whatever won last week is in the Hall of Fame now, not at the top of this week’s board. Claps open the moment the countdown hits zero. Adding a product takes seconds — a name, a link, a tagline, and a logo — and it joins the current round straight away. From there it’s down to the claps it earns: sign in for an allowance to spend, and hold the clap button to pile several onto a launch you rate.

No paying your way up

Most launch platforms have a business model that quietly works against the launch: pay for a featured slot, buy a pack of upvotes, and the product that actually earned the attention slides down the page. Clapstorm is built the other way round. Claps can’t be bought, sold, or transferred, there’s no paid placement, and unused claps don’t roll over. A launch rises purely on how many people back it — which is a different thing from how much its maker spent.

What sticks around

When a round closes, the loudest launches take the top spots and earn a permanent place in the Hall of Fame. Supporters get credit too: the all-time Top Clappers board rewards the most generous supporters, not just the makers who post. You can leave a review, reply to makers, and follow the countdown to the next round.

Who it’s for

Clapstorm is for makers shipping something new who want eyes on it, and for anyone who likes finding good products before everyone else — the same board whether you have a following or not. It’s built by Drizzlelabs, an independent UK software studio, whose own tools ShipPost and ODDALoop already sit on the board.

This week’s launches are at clapstorm.com, and the thinking behind tools like this is in small, honest software.

Questions

What is Clapstorm?
Clapstorm is a free weekly leaderboard for new product launches. Makers post what they've built, everyone else backs the launches they like with claps, and at the end of each week the ones with the most claps take the top spots.
Is Clapstorm free?
Yes. There are no ads, no waitlist, and no premium tier — everyone gets an allowance of claps just for signing in, and posting a launch costs nothing.

Every launch starts level when a round opens and climbs purely on the claps people give it. When the round closes, the loudest launches top the board and earn a permanent spot in the Hall of Fame.
Can you pay to rank on Clapstorm?

No. Unused claps don't carry over, so every round starts fresh for everyone and the board resets each week.
Who makes Clapstorm?
Clapstorm is built by Drizzlelabs, an independent UK software studio, by Thomas Bradley — whose own tools ShipPost and ODDALoop already sit on the board.
