Drizzlelabs is an independent software studio in the UK. The studio designs, builds, and runs small tools — and writes here about how they're made.
What this is
Drizzlelabs builds tiny, single-purpose software and ships it. Each tool does one job and gets out of the way. There's no roadmap of features bolted on to justify a subscription, and no plan to become a platform.
Drizzlelabs is founded and run by Thomas Bradley. The studio owns its tools, runs its own servers, answers its own email, and decides what gets built. Keeping it small and focused is the point, not a stage to grow out of.
Why it exists
Most software wants something from you — your attention, your data, a recurring charge for capacity you don't use. Drizzlelabs makes the other kind: tools you can pick up, use, and keep, that never treat you as the product.
So the rules are simple. One job, done well. No ads, ever. Your data stays yours, local-first wherever it can be. Shipped, not someday. They're not a marketing line — they're the constraints the studio actually builds inside.
How it's built
Fast, with care. Drizzlelabs leans on modern tooling to move quickly without cutting the corners that matter — the boring ones, like accessibility, performance, and not losing your data. Speed and care aren't a trade-off here; the small scope is what makes both possible.
Who's behind it
Drizzlelabs was founded by Thomas Bradley, a developer in the UK, who got tired of waiting for someone else to build the small tools he wanted — so the studio started building them. You can see more of his work, including things outside the studio, on his site.
Thomas is a staff engineer at Moonfire Ventures, building AI products inside a VC fund. Drizzlelabs is what he builds alongside that job.
What the studio does
It makes its own products: a handful of tools, each with its own home on the web. It doesn't take on client or fractional CTO work.
It also writes. Alongside posts about the tools, there's writing on technical leadership for founders and boards, including a guide to fractional CTOs and what UK providers charge. It's there to be useful, not to sell anything.
